Follow the steps in this article to configure how orders are accepted and finalized in Lightspeed.

Only after the order is accepted on the delivery channel is it sent to your POS.

Step 1. Log into Lightspeed and go to Devices , Restaurant App Settings , and then your profile .

Step 2. Scroll down to the General Settings section.

  • Disable device sleep: This setting deactivates the iPad going into sleep mode (IMPORTANT)

  • Accept and finalize incoming online orders:

    • Manually accept and finalize: Orders are manually sent to the kitchen but are auto-finalized after a while.

    • Automatically accept: Orders are automatically sent to the kitchen.

    • Automatically accept and finalize: Orders are automatically sent to the kitchen and auto-finalized after a while.

  • Sound Effects: If activated, a sound is played with every order received. This only works if the Manually accept and finalize option is selected.

  • Alert sound for new takeout/delivery orders: Change how often or long Lightspeed will make a sound if Sound Effects is activated.

Customer information on your receipts

Activate "show customer" on all the printer templates you use (kitchen template and receipt template). This feature will ensure that the following items are printed:

  • Customer notes

  • Customer name (if received from the delivery channel)

  • The customer address (if received from the delivery channel)
