This is now handled automatically when authorizing your POS with Deliverect.
Why create a specific payment per channel?
Lightspeed requires for Deliverect to send a payment method along with an online order. We advise to set up a specific payment method per channel (Uber Eats, Deliveroo, Foodora,..) and per virtual brand.
This way you can easily separate your payments received by channel, or by brand.
How to create a payment method?
You can read more about how to set up payment methods in Lightspeed via this link.
Recommended setup:
- Make sure you select the type "Cheque". This will ensure the payments are registered separately from other payment methods in your Lightspeed reports.
- IMPORTANT: do not enable auto-finalize for Belgium Fiscal accounts! (Blackbox). This does not work and will cause issues in your Lightspeed POS.
- Enabling auto-finalize is okay for other countries. Doing so means that all orders will be finalized in the POS. You can read more about this in the section "Processing orders".
- Some channels also allow for payments in-store or upon delivery (e.g. Takeaway). In that case, it is recommended to add a new payment type in Lightspeed. For example, you can name it 'Takeaway not yet paid'. As a type, you can still choose 'cheque'.
