If you already have a menu on a channel, you can request it to be imported by your Deliverect account manager. The benefit is that you retain the existing menu structure, product images, descriptions, prices, etc.
This feature is not yet supported by all channels, please check with your Deliverect account manager for details.
Once your menu has been imported, it is necessary to link your products to those in your POS. Follow the steps below to learn how.
Step 1. Log in to your Deliverect account and click on Menus in the sidebar.
Step 2. Click on the Edit button for the imported menu.
Step 3. A message will show at the top of the page stating how many products need linking.
If you do not want to link products, click on the Delete unmatched products link to remove them from your menu.
Step 4. Unlinked products have a red border. Click on a product to link it.
Step 5. Deliverect will suggest a product based on the name. Alternatively, you can use the categories and search bar. Click on the product once you have found it and then click on the Link Product button
.
Step 6. The red outline will then be removed. Repeat this process until all products are linked. You can also click on the product if you need to adjust its information, price, etc.
In the menu, you may also be notified that modifiers need linking.
If your products have modifiers and modifier groups linked properly in the POS, linking the main product to the POS product will also correctly link the modifiers.
Matching modifier groups from Uber to the ones in the POS turns very useful if you manage different names for them in the POS and in the Delivery platforms. If that is the case, then it's worth doing the linking.
To link them, click on the Link Modifier Group or Link Modifiers buttons. A list will appear with all the items that need linking.
Click on the link icon to see existing modifier or modifier groups in your account. Choose the correct one to match it to.
The search box is available if none of the suggestions are correct.
Select the correct one and click on the link button at the bottom left.
You will see the product has been linked as the PLU now appears in the column.
Once this is done, you will notice that the name of your modifier group will change from the POS name to the name it had in the Delivery Channel.
