After activating a channel for staging, you can test the functionality by downloading a special staging version of the Jahez app. The instructions below are for devices running Android 11 and may differ for other versions.
Step 1. Download the app (Android only). If you have an existing staging app, uninstall the old one.
Step 2. It is likely that the application you opened the link from doesn’t have permission to install apps. Tap on Settings to allow for this.
Step 3. Tap on the toggle.
Step 4. You can now tap on Install.
Step 5. You will be asked to accept the app’s permissions the first time you load it. Tap to do so.
Step 6. Now we need to log in to the test account. Tap on the hamburger (☰) icon.
Step 7. Choose the Sign In option.
Step 8. Enter the following credentials 1:
- Phone number: +966-567267200
- Password: 1234567
Tap on the Login button 2.
Step 9. It’s likely that no restaurants will show up (none in range). To rectify this, tap on the location icon.
Step 10. Find the rough location of the restaurant by zooming out and in. Tap on the back arrow once ready.
Step 11. Restaurants will now show up. If you don’t see the customer’s restaurant, tap on the search icon to enter its name and find it.
Step 12. You can now choose items and order them (if restaurant isn’t closed, that is 😉).
