Shopify: Create a Custom App and Receive Store Credentials

To integrate your Shopify with Deliverect, you need to create a custom app and generate keys. Follow this article to learn how.

The information we need is:

  • Admin API Access Token

  • API Key

  • API Shared Secret

  • Shopify domain

Find your Shopify domain

Step 1. Log in to your Shopify account and select Settings from the sidebar.


Step 2. Your Shopify URL is displayed at the top of the page.

Create a custom app

Step 1. Log in to your Shopify account and select Settings from the sidebar.


Step 2. Select Apps and sales channels from the sidebar.


Step 3. Select Develop apps.


Step 4. Select the Allow custom app development button.


Step 5. Select the Create an app button.


Step 6. Enter the following details and select the Create app button.

  • App name: Deliverect

  • App developer: Your email address


Step 7. Select the Configure Admin API scopes button.


Step 8. Enable the following scopes and select the Save button.

  • Admin API (select to expand the inactive permissions):

  • Products: Read/Write Access

  • Assigned fulfillment orders: Read/Write Access

  • Customers: Read Access

  • Fulfillment Services: Read/Write Access

  • Inventory: Read/Write Access

  • Locations: Read Access

  • Orders: Read/Write Access

  • Script tags: Read/Write Access


Step 9. Select the Install app button.


Step 10. Select the Install button.


Step 11. Select API credentials.


Step 12. Reveal the following and copy them to a safe place.

  • Admin API access token

  • API key

  • API secret key
