Shopify: How to Create a Custom App & get your Store Credentials

In order to integrate your Shopify with Deliverect we need you to create a Custom App and generate the keys that we will use to connect the shop.

The information we need is: 

1. Admin API Access Token
2. API Key
3. API Shared Secret
4. Shopify Domain

Store ID and Shopify Domain

A Shopify store will have two domains - one that the customers see (www.kismet-restaurant.com) and one that the merchant will use to administer the store (the Shopify Admin), which will look like kismet-waterloo.myshopify.com

• The Shopify domain of the store will always be of the format store-name.myshopify.com
• Go to SETTINGS
• The Shopify domain can be found here: example.myshopify.com

Downloading a Custom App on Shopify

Step 1: After logging into your Shopify account, navigate to APPS

Step 2: Build a CUSTOM APP for Deliverect

Select "Develop apps for your store"

Step 3: Click on CREATE AN APP and enter the following:

• App Name: Deliverect
• App Developer: Your email

Step 4: Configure Admin API scopes

• Admin API (select to expand the inactive permissions):
• Products: Read/Write Access
• Assigned fulfillment orders: Read/Write Access
• Customers: Read Access
• Fulfillment Services: Read/Write Access
• Inventory: Read/Write Access
• Locations: Read Access
• Orders: Read/Write Access
• Script tags: Read/Write Access

SAVE changes and INSTALL APP

Step 5: Gather API Keys

1. Admin API Access
2. Token API Key
3. API Shared Secret

Reveal your secret keys and store these in a secret place!
