Lightspeed Restaurant L-Series: Adding Discount PLU, Delivery Fee PLU, and Service Charge PLU

This is now handled automatically when authorizing your POS with Deliverect.

If you would like to receive the discounted prices, delivery fees, and service charges in your Lightspeed Restaurant L-Series POS, please follow the steps below.

Depending on the delivery channels that will be added to the account, a Discount PLU, Delivery Fee PLU, and a Service Charge PLU need to be added to your Lightspeed account.

• Discount PLU: when discounts are supported by the delivery channels.
• Delivery Fee PLU and Service Charge PLU: when you arrange delivery yourself (not provided by the delivery channel).

The PLUs you need to use per delivery channel:

Step 1. In Lightspeed, go to Products ➜ Categories.

Step 2. Create a new category with the following info:

• Name: Deliverect
• Visible: No
• Image: Download and use this one (optional).

The other settings can be left as they are. Click on Ok once ready.

Step 3. Navigate to Products ➜ Products ➜ Deliverect.

Step 4. Click on the Add Discount option to create a discount product.

• Name: Channel + Discount (e.g. UberEats Discount).
• PLU: Use the table above to find the correct PLU for the channel (e.g. UE99).
• Discount: Leave as 0.00.
• Colour: Leave as default.
• Visible: Disabled
• Discount Types: Reduction Current
• Discountable to: Leave as default.
• Barcode: Leave empty.

Step 5. Navigate to Products ➜ Products ➜ Deliverect.

If you need service charges and/or delivery fees, create individual products for them via the Add Product option. 

• Name: Channel + Service Charge/Delivery Fee
• PLU: Use the table above to find the correct PLU for the channel (e.g. UE77).
• Kitchen Name: Leave empty.
• Price: Leave as 0.00.
• Modifiers: Leave as default.
• Colour: Leave as default.
• Image: Leave empty.
• Allow Refund: Disabled.
• Visible: Disabled.
• Product type: Normal.
